Terms of Use

Last updated: 15 June 2026 · Effective: 15 June 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Ondate mobile application and related services (the "Service"), operated by Ondate ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Ondate. By using the Service you represent that you are 18 or older and legally able to enter into these Terms. The Service is intended for personal, non-commercial use.

2. Your account

3. How Ondate works

Ondate pairs users for anonymous chat. Identities and photos remain hidden until both participants choose to reveal them. Matching, conversations and reveals are features of the Service and may change over time.

4. Ad-supported access

Ondate is free and supported by advertising. Certain features (such as daily access to chat) may require you to watch a short rewarded video or be granted access when no ad is available. Ads are provided by third parties (e.g. Google AdMob, AppLovin). We do not control the content of third-party ads.

5. Community rules & acceptable use

To keep Ondate safe and respectful, you agree not to:

We may remove content and take action against accounts that violate these rules.

6. Content you share

You retain ownership of the content you create. You grant Ondate a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, and display your content solely to operate and provide the Service. You are solely responsible for the content you share and confirm you have the right to share it.

7. Moderation, reports & bans

We use reporting tools, automated filtering and human moderation. Accounts that receive multiple valid reports or violate these Terms may be suspended or banned. If you are banned, you may submit an appeal through the in-app process or by emailing ondateme@gmail.com; we review appeals at our discretion.

8. Safety disclaimer

Ondate does not conduct criminal background checks on users. You are responsible for your own interactions. Use caution when chatting with or meeting other people, never share sensitive financial information, and meet in public places. You interact with other users at your own risk.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, logos and branding, is owned by Ondate and protected by law. You may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works without our permission.

10. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties (e.g. Google Firebase, Google AdMob, AppLovin, hosting providers). Your use of those features may be subject to their terms and policies.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, availability, or that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that you will find a match.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ondate and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Ondate harmless from any claims, damages or expenses arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

14. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or for the safety and integrity of the Service.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory local consumer law in your country of residence applies. (Update this clause to reflect your operating entity and jurisdiction before public release.)

16. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
